We encourage people to attend the 6:00pm Liturgy. It will be the
same as the 4:00pm
which always has to overflow to the parish center.
If we can divide the numbers
equally at the 4:00 & 6:00pm, it will be comfortable for all.

Isaiah Parish Mission – March 20-23
Isaiah
Parish Mission
– March 20-23
What is an Isaiah Parish Mission? Isaiah Parish Missions have been called
‘new-fashioned’ parish missions. Each of four mission sessions includes prayer,
scripture, music, and preaching. The
mission provides an opportunity for spiritual renewal and a time to reflect and
pray.
The “Blessed and Broken Mission”
explores the four major parts of the Mass.
The mission will give you the opportunity for a deeper understanding and
renewal of your own faith. It provides a
wonderful opportunity for you to introduce your friends and family to the
dynamics of a living, personal faith.
The Parish Mission begins on Sunday evening, March 20. There will be an evening presentation on
Monday and Tuesday evenings. The Parish
Mission will conclude with a Eucharistic celebration on Wednesday evening. The team will also offer presentations on
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday following the 12:10 Eucharist. A simple lunch will be served.
More on the presentors:
The
Parish Mission will be led by Rose Marie
and Richard Lombard. Rose Marie
Lombard has been an Isaiah presenter for over 20 years. She has been a parish visitor, a parish
outreach coordinator, a director of religious education and, for many years, a
wedding coordinator at a university interfaith chapel. Deacon Dick Lombard
has been a campus minister, hospice chaplain and parish deacon. He holds undergraduate and graduate degrees
in theology. He has been an Isaiah
presenter for fifteen years.
The Lombards have been active in
social justice and ecumenical ministry in this country and in the Caribbean. They
founded a medical clinic in Trinidad, an organization which distributed surplus
medical supplies and equipment to various Caribbean countries and a hospice in
their home town of Rochester,
NY. They have three children and seven
grandchildren.
In 2006
Rose Marie and Deacon Dick assumed leadership of Isaiah Ministries, the
national preaching ministry that has presented missions in over 1,200 Catholic
parishes. In addition to their Isaiah
and parish duties they continue to offer their own parish missions as well as
retreats and days of recollection.
