HOPE Dinner and Auction

The HOPE – Help Offer Private Education – Dinner and Auction
an annual evening gala event held the second Saturday in October at the Zebedee Center, to benefit the students of St. John’s Academy.
The first HOPE Dinner and Auction, an idea originated by then principal - Sister Dorothy Zeller, was a Spaghetti Supper and Auction held January 19, 1992 at the Knights of Columbus Hall.
It has since evolved into a not-to-miss gala event.
The 20th Annual HOPE Dinner & Auction was held on Oct. 9, 2010 and was a huge success. We are very grateful for the many years of community support. Entertainment was provided by our 2nd graders and Shirley Ross Pearson a 1953 graduate of St. John’s Academy. The 21st Annual HOPE Dinner and Auction is set for Oct. 8, 2011.
The HOPE Dinner and Auction is the largest fundraiser held yearly at the school and consists of many, many hours of year-round preparation by nearly a hundred volunteers and is culminated in an evening of socializing, fine dining, exquisite decorating and high quality auction items.
The evening traditionally begins at 5:00 pm with a social hour where guests can enjoy appetizers and live music while strolling through the hundreds of auction items.
Dinner starts at 6:00 pm with prayer and a four course meal. Entertainment by the students of St. John’s Academy precedes the live auction, which have all been presided over by More From Orr Auction Services; Cliff, Val, Troy, Darron, Bev and Barb Orr; alumnus of St. John’s Academy.
