HOPE Dinner and Auction

The HOPEHelp Offer Private Education – Dinner and Auction
an annual evening gala event held the second Saturday in October at the Zebedee Center, to benefit the students of St. John’s Academy.

The first HOPE Dinner and Auction, an idea originated by then principal - Sister Dorothy Zeller, was a Spaghetti Supper and Auction held January 19, 1992 at the Knights of Columbus Hall.

It has since evolved into a not-to-miss gala event.

The 17th Annual HOPE Dinner and Auction held October 13th, 2007, netted over $71,185.00, which was a record, for the students of St. John's Academy.

The HOPE Dinner and Auction is the largest fundraiser held yearly at the school and consists of many, many hours of year-round preparation by nearly a hundred volunteers and is culminated in an evening of socializing, fine dining, exquisite decorating and high quality auction items.

The evening traditionally begins at 5:00 pm with a social hour where guests can enjoy appetizers and live music while strolling through the hundreds of auction items.

Dinner starts at 6:00 pm with prayer and a four course meal. Entertainment by the students of St. John’s Academy precedes the live auction, which have all been presided over by More From Orr Auction Services; Cliff, Val, Troy, Darron, Bev and Barb Orr; alumnus of St. John’s Academy.

Next year dinner tickets will be sold for $75 each individual. Sponsorships available at the

  • $1,000 Angel level
  • $750 Patron level
  • $500 Friend level

The 18th Annual HOPE Dinner and Auction is scheduled for Saturday, October 11th, 2008.
