The HOPE Dinner and Auction is the largest fundraiser held yearly at the school and consists of many, many hours of year-round preparation by many volunteers and is a wonderful evening of fellowship, fine dining, and many silent and live auction items. The first HOPE Dinner and Auction, an idea originated by then principal-Sister Dorothy Zeller, was a Spaghetti Supper and Auction held January 19, 1992 at the Knights of Columbus Hall.

The evening traditionally begins at 4:00 pm with a social hour where guests can enjoy appetizers and live music while strolling through the hundreds of auction items. Dinner starts at 6:00 pm with prayer and meal catered by University of Jamestown. Entertainment by the 2nd grade students of St. John’s Academy precedes the live auction, which have all been presided over by More From Orr Auction Services; Cliff, Val, Troy, Darron, Bev and Barb Orr; alumnus of St. John’s Academy.
